Longs Peak is the crown jewel of Rocky Mountain National Park standing at over 14,000ft above sea level.  On this course, we ascend the coveted North Face, also formerly known as the “Cables Route.”  This is the most direct way to the summit of the mountain.  The route features enjoyable climbing and tremendous views. This trip is available from late June through early September. Winter ascents are available on a custom basis. contact us for more info.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria: Previous climbing experience, ability to follow 5.6 rock with a light pack on.  Ability to ascend and descend 5000ft over 16 miles with a pack on in a reasonable amount of time. 

Length: 12-14 hours

Maximum Ratio: 3 participants, 1 guide

Minimum Age: Under 18 will need written consent from parent/guardian

Harness – UIAA/CE rated climbing harness with belay loop and gear loops.  Should be able to fit on the outside of your layers.
Helmet – UIAA/CE rated climbing helmet.
Belay/rappel device – plaquette, tube style device preferred
2 locking carabiners – large, round stock screw gate carabiners that are easily manipulated while wearing gloves
Sticky rubber rock climbing shoes

*All technical equipment will be provided by SAI, but if you have our own, it’s encouraged that you bring it.
